So, for some reason it is hard to sleep at night. Right? Yes, and the main reason I can derive as the problem is anxiety and long hours of exposure to blue light which everyday devices such as your phone emit. Here are some tips as to how to sleep... A good sleep.

  1. It may sound silly but go to the washroom, have a warm shower, turn down the temperature to 18 degrees celsius. This will help in slowing down your heart rate and get you to sleep faster.

  2. DONT COUNT SHEEP. It doesn't help at all. Instead, it makes your mind active. I tried this with my friends and 90 per cent of them said yes.

  3. Next, I asked a lot of people on Instagram if this helps you fall asleep. 70 percent said YES. So the trick is to open your eyes as wide as you possibly can. This should make you sleepy. Another trick is to breathe in- hold 5 seconds- breathe out 8 seconds. Repeat till you sleep.

  4. Exercise. It reduces stress and makes you so tired you will sleep. Plus it helps you stay healthy during a long lockdown.

Please note that not sleeping on time, may lead to depression or anxiety. For kids, it's required to get a minimum of 10 hours of sleep and it is recommended that adults get at least 8 hours of sleep. Stay strong, stay healthy!
