Hi everyone, hope you are doing good!Today we will be talking about Moore's law and how tech companies are adapting to the ongoing situation which may threaten their death in the future.
So what is Moore's law?
This Article will explain it better than me so check it out! https://www.britannica.com/technology/Moores-law
Something which you should have noticed by now is the global slowdown in tech innovation. Everything is kind of a remix of the previous version and there are not many original devices or services coming out. To push it further, there is not enough reason for consumers to buy their new products.
Many people are also now aware, of the effects which e-waste has on the environment. And companies are making devices which last longer and are supported by software for a longer period of time and hence people don’t upgrade ever so often. Today, chips are getting smaller and smaller to the point where we may reach the size of an atom. So basically, Moore's law is coming to an end and we- the people aren’t prepared for it. We may just get bored of devices. Investors are scared too as they are pulling out of companies like apple
So what are companies doing to delay their death?
Companies are introducing subscription based services like Apple Music. Google is not entering the hardware market in the same fears.Almost all tech giants are looking at these kinds of services as a stable source of income for the future.
