Hi and welcome. I didn't post much this week because it took me some time to decide whether I should write about this.

So, if you are an Indian and have seen the Indian media talk about Article 370 is revoked, you may have heard them call this a masterstroke. So the job of the national media is to give you news and give them fast. In India, the national media holds a lot of debates on topics which they have no right to comment on. Anyways I won't talk about this much. The media creates urgency when there isn't any to get more money. The media in India is more than heavily biased to the government in power. That is why the government in power doesn't get criticized much. The media will call this a masterstroke and stop talking about it in the future. This is exactly what happened demonetisation, article 370 and crisis management of COVID-19 (pm cares scam). So the job of the media is to criticize the government but it is widely known that anyone who goes with this idealogy is labelled by the nationalist media as Anti-nationals. HOW IS A PERSON WHO CRITICIZES THE GOVERNMENT AN ANTI NATIONAL? ISN'T THAT PERSON STRIVING FOR THE GOVERNMENT IN POWER TO MAKE USEFUL CHANGES? THAT MAKES THEM A GOOD PERSON AND NOT ANTI- NATIONAL AND LABELLED AS A TERRORIST UNDER THE UAPA ACT? THE MEDIA ANCHORS HAVE A LOT OF FIR'S FILED AGAINST THEM FOR HATE SPEECH BUT NOTHING COMES OUT OF THEM. I BY NO MEANS STAND WITH FIR'S LODGED FOR HATE SPEACH AGAINST THESE NEWS ANCHORS AND JOURNALISTS. I AM AGAINST THEIR SPONSORS. Try avoiding to buy the services or products which those companies are selling. I want to give a small example of hypocrisy. I won't name the companies and media outlet involved but to give you a gist of it, all of them are similar. They were talking about the "boycott China" energy and inciting hate against China. There was just a big mistake though. They failed to realise their sponsors were Chinese. Yes! Imagine the long talk they had to have after the debate.
Enough about the Media. Let's talks about some facts now!
Do you think that terrorism is lower in Kashmir these days? Check what this Hindu article said about this:
This is despite there being such heavy troop deployment in Kashmir! It is clear that the people thought the article 370 had good reforms and people had faith in it. Just like demonetisation, people think that the government is at least trying. Yes, understood but at what cost? The idea on paper is a good one and should be a good reform as now Kashmir can get more integrated with India. Or... So we thought. Well, Admin what are you saying? Kashmir is a union territory and is now in control of the centre. Of course, it is more integrated. On paper- yes. In reality not so much. Why you ask. I can make a short rap song on this. Kashmir had an internet blackout for months. Even landline services were not available. `
As activists put it. The hard fact is that people of Kashmir are neglected and oppressed just because of a political game. Let's come to education now. Oh good lord. Kashmir had put a lock to schools and colleges because of security concerns and as they started to open up. CORONA. So yet again people were locked up into their own homes. This is the ground reality of Kashmir. Today Kashmir has internet. There is a catch. It's 2G. How can kids attend online classes on that? An individual who doesn't have an education at a young age will be inching all the time toward arms. It's widely known that childhood shapes an individual until they die. Some people do change at this time but the majority don't. As the lack of education continues to scar the people of Kashmir. We stay silent. Has this become a new normal for the people of Kashmir? What do people of Kashmir want? Do we even know what's happening in Kashmir? I ASK TOUGH QUESTIONS AND I AM PROUD OF IT.
To sum up:
Article 370 wanted to integrate Kashmir with India but because of security concerns, the internet wasn't available in their area. As the pandemic continues to spread education is completely battered and the people of Kashmir are left to be oppressed.
